One of his most defining traits is Vee's absolute lack of self-confidence. He doesn't quite know where he wants to go in his life nor is he even sure about his own identity. Though his insecurity and shyness do inhibit him occasionally, they do not affect him to a crippling extent.
Once he feels comfortable around someone, he can actually be a bit flirty (though this shouldn't be taken serious) to bond with them and he does have a penchant for playing harmless pranks. However, it does take a while for him to warm up to others.
Despite being anything but confrontational, Vee does put his foot down when his sister is involved and he would do anything to protect her, even if it's not even necessary or appreciated.
Regardless how mild-mannered he is, the Eevee is not good at forgiving others if he has been wronged.

History:

Like most tales, Vee's very own story started a little bit before he was born. His parents, young and just a tad too naïve, had decided to move to the far-away Kalos region in order to start their life together.
The new place offered many opportunities and things seemed to go very well for the couple... until Fei started to feel a little under the weather.
For her husband, a doctor by trade, this obviously meant that she had struck by some very nasty disease and instead of considering the obvious, he spent several days on researching uncommon illnesses presenting the symptoms his wife was complaining about.
Luckily, his idiotic panic subsided quickly and he eventually found out what was wrong with her. The reason for her malaise was born nine months later.

Soon after his birth, Vee became the family's pride and joy with his uncles and fraternal grandfather travelling all the way to Anistar City to bring their gifts for the newborn.
Sadly, this is where the fairy tale ends and real life begins. Spoiled and loved by his parents, Vee grew up to be a mild-mannered boy. Eventually, a little sister was born yet the timing wasn't quite the best as it was also during this time that his father's workload at the hospital increased. While he wasn't neglected, the young child often didn't get the chance to spend quality time with his male role model and instead followed his mother around as she took care of the two kids.

But oh, how he loved his baby sister. With Vertigo being busy at work, Vee took it upon himself to support his mother by doing light household chores or just playing with the tiny Houndour as he read stories about the stars to her or sang sweet, sweet lullabies.
Years passed and upon reaching his teen years, Vee was slowly losing touch with his identity. The limited time he had been able to spent with his father and the nagging question about what he would evolve into from his classmates left him unsure about his future and gender. When he was with his sister, he felt like an older brother but when his mother talked to him about fashion, he felt more like a girl. Plus, with both his maternal and fraternal families consisting only of Dark and Fire types, he felt like everyone expected him to choose either Flareon or Umbreon as his evolution. Furthermore, comments about how he should follow his father's footsteps and become a doctor began to haunt him.

Overwhelmed by all these thoughts, the Eevee started to fall into some sort of light depression until his parents approached him. Suggesting that he should probably go out and see the world to do whatever he wanted, they helped him find a place to stay. They assured him that whatever he would decide on in his life, be it an evolution, job or even gender, they would always support him. Touched by how understanding they were, Vee left home to find himself...
